Religious Education at St. Frances Cabrini does not run a program.
Rather, we oversee a process of life long learning and maturing in faith.
Each of us is on a path to God. Each path has its own twists, turns,
hills, and valleys. The Office of Religious Education wishes to offer each
parishioner the opportunities she or he needs to know and to serve God.
The Religious Education Office seeks to spread this message to Live
for the Lord to every member of the parish through its various Committees:
Adult Faith Formation, Youth Ministry, Parish School of Religion, the RCIA
as it is adapted for Children and the Family Activities Committee.
The Parish School of Religion
Formation in Faith is an ongoing process for all of us. For
our young children and Young People of early teen years, we offer a developmental
series of yearly Formation Classes designed to lead each person into a
relationship with Jesus.
By preparing for the sacraments our Children come to receive Jesus
in the Eucharist; to seek oneness with the Church community in Reconciliation;
and, our young people are prepared to give witness to their faith
through the Sacrament of Confirmation and a life of service to others in
the Holy Spirit.
The Formation Sessions meet weekly at the following times:
| Levels One through Six
And Confirmation Level I: |
Tuesdays at 5PM
Wednesday at 5PM and 6:30PM Thursdays at 5PM Saturdays at 9:00AM and 10:30AM |
| Confirmation Level II | Thursday at 6:45PM |
The Sacraments of Initiation of First Communion and Confirmation
are celebrated during the Easter Season.
Each candidate for a sacrament completes a preparation period of
at least two years.
The first reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated
each year during Lent.
Adult Faith FormationCatholic adults are encouraged to grow in knowledge of there faith. The Adult Faith Formation Commitee plansRCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
